A discussion of Marvel

CJ and I were discussing the possibility of Marvel taking one of their villian characters and making a horror movie out of them. They are running out of marquee heroes to put in movies and the crap they have been making is ensuring they won't get sequels. So when they scrape the bottom of the barrel in the next year or two after the Hulk and Punisher reboots, Thor, Wolverine, Magneto, and Iron Man; would they ever consider making a horror? And if so, who would it be based on?

Personally, I would be interested in a horror based on any of these villians.

Carnage - Serial Killer in an offshoot of the Venom Symbiote suit. He may eventually wind up in a Spiderman film.

Kraven the Hunter - Wild human hunter. Could work but similar movies have been made.

Arcade - Sets evil traps, but may be too similar to Jigsaw from the Saw franchise, ALTHOUGH he did come first.

Mojo - Alien who steals people and puts them in crazy TV reality type shows where they usually die. If they kept it campy I would love this one, Mojo is like a crazy fat clown. And if he killed people in zany carnival games it would be insane.

Wendigo - Flesh eating sasquatch like creature. Can't get enough of those right?

I wonder if Marvel would step into this territory, but since they recently set up a movie production company I imagine they will have to try new things if they want to keep making movies for years to come because most of the franchises worth doing are done or dead. If they don't work these lesser characters are we only going to get Spidey and X-Men sequels?
